Travis was born on January 29th, 1975 in Eugene, Oregon. He grew up in Eugene and graduated from Churchill High School. He attended Lane Community College for 2 years before going on to Oregon State University. He graduated OSU with a major in business in ' 97 and returned to Eugene to work in business.

After meeting Sharlene, their love grew and they decided to get married. The big day fell on January 17th, 1998 and the two started their lives together. They regularly attend Faith Center Church in Eugene. Both have family nearby, while they are living in the Southern Eugene Hills. While both are business owners, they still find plenty of time for outdoor activities (when the Eugene weather permits!). Travis is a teacher of Ultimate Frisbee and both enjoy cycling in the forests outside Roseburg.
